Air Canada urge end of mandatory COVID-19 testing

With the advent of COVID-19, the government has imposed several guidelines for the safety of the passengers and the public around. One was the mandatory COVID-19 testing at the airport.  If you have made Air Canada Booking, you must be aware of the basic rules they demand to travel with. However, many airlines, including Air Canada, have requested to end the mandatory testing after arriving at the airport.

Air Canada, in collaboration with other airlines, sent a joint letter to the government asking them to shun the testing at the airport. 

Moreover, when a person has been tested negative before arrival and has been vaccinated as well, there is no need for further testing. 

Covid rules to travel by Air Canada

Well, all the airlines proposed several covid 19 guidelines with the advent of Covid-19. However, many of the airlines shunned the functions at a hike of virus transmission. Especially, when the situation was out of control. Here are a few of the guidelines that Air Canada proposed. The passengers need to follow these anyhow:

All the passengers must produce RTPCR covid report testing negative. Passengers need to have their masks while traveling. Also, they need to keep their hand sanitizing every now and then.One of the main guidelines was that all the travelers have to go through a covid test at the airport.

Now, when the situation has been under control a bit, some airlines are demanding relief from the last guideline mentioned in the above list. Moreover, they feel that if the passengers are fully vaccinated, there is no need for doing tests at the airport. . However, they must present a two-day-old report confirming them negative of the virus. They don't require the second test. 

What does Air Canada demand?

Air Canada officials say that instead of testing passengers in large numbers at the airport, the government should make the following points mandatory:

They should make sure to test the international passengers on arrival. The government must ask the international passengers to stay in isolation. They should make sure of this, especially, if the passenger shows any of the covid symptoms.
