Circus themed parties with circus costumes are always fabulous parties. You do need to do a fair amount of planning as there is a lot to think about. A circus party is a party that adults love as much as children. Costume ideas for circus parties are easy, a clown, a ringmaster, a juggler, a magician, an acrobat, a strongman, a tiger, a tiger trainer, an usher, a popcorn seller are just some for you to think about. You can do circus party invitations that are in the form of a circus ticket, and the decor is easy too. You can have Circus or Showtime signs on the walls, balloons everywhere, popcorn stands and candy stands, and you can set up chairs in a room for a circus show. You might even want to sprinkle sawdust on the floor.

Throwing a good party does not just mean buying the party costumes online. The dressing up part is a huge part of the fun, but so is the food and the entertainment. If it is a child’s party, one of the parents can be the ringmaster and welcome everyone with their megaphone. Circus snacks and food is so easy. Do cup cakes with ice cream cones as a clown’s hat, and decorate the cone with icing and smarties. Make biscuits with icing and smarties. Boxes of popcorn are always great. Anything with colouring is good although this is going to be a lot of sugar! You can throw in a whole lot of fruit sticks and fruit snacks and do meatballs and tomato sauce. French fries are a hit too, and a healthy pizza will go down a treat. Use the internet to get party food ideas, there are so many creative people who post party ideas online. Just like we are doing, actually!
Get ready early
When you are hosting a fancy dress party, do the planning early. You have a lot to think about, from fancy dress costume to games to food to decor to drink. And what about the ‘thanks for coming’ invites. A red rubber nose is a good idea and these are also a good idea to hand out when people arrive. Be prepared and you have a successful and fabulous party. You will easily find all the accessories and circus costumes online at good prices and good quality.
