Report a writeup, comment, or user

How to flag content that breaks our community guidelines.

Updated April 12, 2026

WriteUpCafe relies on the community to help keep the platform healthy. If you see something that breaks our guidelines, report it — our moderation team reviews every report.

How to report a writeup

  1. Open the writeup.
  2. Click the three-dot menu (⋯) at the top right.
  3. Select Report this article.
  4. Pick a reason (spam, harassment, copyright, adult content, misinformation, other).
  5. Optionally add context — the more specific, the faster we can act.
  6. Submit.

You can report as a guest — just provide your name and email so we can follow up if needed.

What happens after you report

  1. Your report enters the moderation queue.
  2. An admin reviews it — usually within a few hours.
  3. If the content breaks guidelines, it’s removed or hidden.
  4. The author gets notified and can appeal.
  5. You get a confirmation that your report was reviewed.

Reporting comments and users

Same menu on comment rows and user profiles. For user-level reports (harassment, impersonation, spam across many posts), include links to specific examples.

Tip: Please don’t mass-report writeups you simply disagree with. Reports should be for genuine guideline violations. Misuse can result in your reporting privileges being restricted.
