Japan men's national volleyball team

The Japanese national men's volleyball team (world ranking 2nd) became the first Asian country to take second place in the Volleyball Nations League (VNL).

Japan lost to France (4th) with a set score of 1-3 (23-25 25-18 23-25 23-25) in the final of the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) 2024 VNL held in Lodz, Poland on the 1st (Korean time).

Japan achieved meaningful results by finishing fifth in the 2022 VNL, third last year, and advancing to the finals this year.

The VNL is a league that was launched in 2018 by reorganizing the existing international competition and features world-class teams competing.

The Korean men's volleyball team (27th) was relegated in 2018 after finishing last with 1 win and 14 losses and failed to return to the VNL.

Korea recently finished third in the 2024 Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC) Challenge Cup held in Bahrain, failing to qualify for the FIVB Challenger Cup, which is awarded to the winning team.

On the other hand, the Japanese national team has been focusing on high-intensity generational change and discovering next-generation players since 2015, and has achieved significant results in every international competition since appointing French coach Philippe Blanc in 2021.

Coach Blanc is expected to lead the Japanese national team until the 2024 Paris Olympics and then take office as the head coach of the Hyundai Capital professional volleyball team in Korea in August. 슬롯사이트

The tournament's MVP award went to France's starting setter Antoine Brizard. He also won the tournament's Best Setter award.

Japanese volleyball icon Yuki Ishikawa was named best outside hitter alongside Poland's Tomasz Fornal.

The Best Libero Award went to Tomihiro Yamamoto of Japan.

Japan also finished second in the women's VNL held last month. 파칭코 종류
