The last thing on your mind as a first-time mother will be post-pregnancy hair loss. It will, regrettably, affect most women to varied degrees. This blog will help you get perspective and offer helpful tips to aid you till your hair returns to normal or wear black ponytail extension

Realizing what else is ahead of you when you first get home from the hospital with your new baby and a renewed determination to spend the rest of your life playing the role of "World's Best Mum" may be pretty intimidating. There are several difficulties associated with parenthood, such as breastfeeding and sleepless nights. And even when everything is unquestionably worthwhile, you still have a right to feel frightened.

We commonly get inquiries regarding post-pregnancy hair loss. Many new mothers are confused by it and sometimes feel quite concerned by it. First of all, don't worry; this is very common and nothing to be concerned about. They never look so wonderful, and there is certainly a lot of makeup covering up their dark circles, but all those glamorous new mothers on TV shows and in movies are not genuine.

Having said that, let's first explore what post-pregnancy hair loss is and the reasons new mothers experience it.

What Is Hair Loss With Pregnancy?

Your hair acquired a lustre and gloss throughout pregnancy that it had never possessed before. There is a reason for that, though. All of it can be boiled down to those annoying hormones that everyone said you would make you crazy during pregnancy.

At any given time, 85% to 90% of your hair is in the growing phase. Your body's hormones prevent your hair from entering the'shedding' phase when you are pregnant. You could have observed less hairs in your brushing or clogging your shower. Your hair gained thickness and a more opulent appearance as a result. Your hormones are all over the place following pregnancy. The proportion of hairs that reach that shedding stage drastically rises. This is what results in hair loss after delivery.

The average lady will lose about 80 hairs every day, to put things in context. Conversely, new mothers might lose up to 400 hairs daily.

But don't worry, the cycle immediately restarts and there will be regrowth.

How Long Does Hair Loss After Giving Birth Last?

Though this can vary significantly from person to person, new mothers often begin to see the physical effects of hair loss three months after giving birth. Sadly, there isn't much we can do to speed up or slow down our own hair growth cycles at any point in our lives.

However, keep in mind that your hair growth cycle will reset and begin at a normal pace after about 6 months, and improvements will be evident rapidly. If you have exceptionally long hair, the hair loss may appear more dramatic than if you had short hair.
