Cryolipolysis, also known as freezing fat, is a popular method for non-invasive body contouring. This allows you to lose fat without any downtime, and with no need for needles or knives.
Here are some basics about body fat
There are two types. Subcutaneous fat is that fat that can roll up your waistband. Visceral fat can make you swell. Visceral fat is the fat that lines your organs. This fat is often linked to heart disease or diabetes. Subcutaneous fat is the fat that we use for cryolipolysis. Recent research has shown that our bodies ability to remove subcutaneous fat decreases with age. This makes it hard to celebrate every birthday.
From frozen fat to popsicles
Cryolipolysis is a combination of heat (lipo), cold (cryo), and destruction (lysis). This partly results from observations of what happens to children when they eat popsicles.
The "cold-induced Fat Necrosis" was a phenomenon that occurs when popsicles are accidentally left on children's faces for several hours. This fascinated the cofounders. These skin samples were taken from children who had been affected by inflammation from fat and other normal tissues. It appears that fat is more vulnerable to cold injury than other types of tissue.
This idea was used to cool pigs and kill fat cells. These results were quite predictable and very promising. The treated areas saw a decrease in fat thickness of approximately 1/2 inch. CoolSculpting was approved as a cryolipolysis procedure for reducing love handles in 2010. Clearance was quickly granted for other parts of our body, such as the abdomen, stomach, thighs, bra fat and undersides buttocks, and the chin.
What is cryolipolysis?
Although we believe the cooled fat cells will disappear within a few days it is impossible to prove. The Macrophages, the immune system's cleaning crew begin to dissolve fat cells.
A cool process
To date, eight million CoolSculpting treatments have been completed around the globe. CoolSculpting can be performed in the fat freeze clinic in east manchester without the need for anesthesia. Liposuction can cause bleeding and be more painful. Each application takes approximately 35 minutes. Multiple applications may be required to cover a larger area than one. To eliminate all stomach fat, may take several treatments. Redness, swelling, bruising, tingling, and numbness are some of the side effects. Most side effects disappear within a few months. In as little as three to five weeks, you can see results. The maximum benefits will begin to be evident after three months. A round of treatment should result in a 10%- 25% reduction of fat. There are no side effects. Re-treatment might be required depending on the desired outcome.
Who is a good candidate for fat-freezing?
Cryolipolysis can help you lose fat safely and effectively. Cryolipolysis shouldn't be used to lose weight. Ideal candidates are close to their ideal weight but have stubborn, hard-to-lose excess fats. Cryolipolysis can't target abdominal or visceral fat. It will not make your life easier. It may help
