In Islamic jurisprudence, the timing of Suhoor (pre-dawn meal) is crucial for the validity of a fast during Ramadan. The term "اذان کے وقت سحری کھانا" refers to consuming Suhoor at the time of the Fajr (dawn) Adhan (call to prayer). Understanding the permissible time frame for Suhoor is essential to ensure the fast is valid.

According to the fatwa issued by Darul Ifta Ahl-e-Sunnat (Dawat-e-Islami), Suhoor must conclude before the onset of Fajr time, which begins at Subh Sadiq (true dawn). The Adhan for Fajr is typically called at this time to indicate the commencement of the Fajr prayer. Therefore, continuing to eat or drink after Subh Sadiq, even if the Adhan is ongoing, invalidates the fast. In such cases, it is obligatory to make up (perform Qada) for that day's fast.

This ruling aligns with the guidance provided by other Islamic scholars. For instance, the Jamia Uloom Islamia Allama Muhammad Yousuf Banuri Town states that Suhoor time ends with Subh Sadiq, and eating or drinking after this time is not permissible, regardless of whether the Adhan has started or not. If someone eats during the Adhan, believing it to be permissible, they are required to perform Qada for that fast.

However, some scholars reference a Hadith where the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "When any of you hears the call (to prayer) and the vessel is in his hand, he should not put it down until he fulfills his need from it." This Hadith suggests that if one is in the midst of eating or drinking when the Adhan begins, they may complete their immediate need. Yet, many scholars interpret this allowance as applicable only when there is uncertainty about the exact time of Subh Sadiq or when the Adhan is called slightly before the actual time. Therefore, as a precaution, it is recommended to cease eating and drinking a few minutes before the expected time of Subh Sadiq to avoid invalidating the fast.

In conclusion, to ensure the validity of the fast, it is advisable to finish Suhoor before Subh Sadiq. Relying solely on the Adhan as a signal to stop eating may lead to complications, especially if the Adhan is delayed. Therefore, individuals should be vigilant about the timing of Subh Sadiq and plan their Suhoor accordingly.
