The temperature of the workplace has a very close relationship with the maintenance of the body\'s heat balance. When the air temperature is lower than the human body temperature, convection and radiation will be strengthened, and the human body will dissipate a lot of heat outside. If the ambient temperature is very low, the human body dissipates too much heat, it will feel cold and uncomfortable, and even cause cold and flu or other diseases.
When the air temperature is high and close to the human body temperature, convection, radiation is greatly weakened, and the role of evaporation of sweat to strengthen, then if the atmospheric wind speed is high, relative humidity and small, conducive to evaporation of heat, people do not feel overheated and discomfort; if the air temperature exceeds the human body temperature, and the air is still, then convection, radiation will stop, the human body only by sweating evaporation of heat, if the relative humidity of the air is then very large, evaporation of heat is also in a difficult state, then, the human body instead to absorb the heat in the air, not only will feel hot, and even cause heat stroke.
It can be seen that relative humidity has a certain effect on evaporation, wind speed has a greater effect on evaporation and convection, while temperature has a greater effect on evaporation, radiation and convection. So the essence of human comfort conditions is the combined effect of temperature, humidity and wind speed, ignoring any one factor is not comprehensive. As far as the temperature is concerned, 16-25 degrees is the zone in which people generally feel comfortable.
Therefore, installing temperature and humidity sensors indoors or in the workplace to monitor the temperature in real time has great benefits for human health.
