The leaderboard
The WriteUpCafe leaderboard ranks members by total points. There are three time windows:
- This week — resets every Monday
- This month — resets on the 1st
- All time — lifetime totals
Being in the top 10 of any window gets your profile featured on the discover page. Top 3 gets an animated trophy icon next to your name anywhere on the site for the duration of that window.
Badges
Badges are earned when you hit specific milestones. They’re displayed under your name on your profile and on writeup cards. A few examples:
- First Writeup — publish your first post
- Prolific Writer — publish 10, 50, 100, or 500 writeups
- Community Builder — get 100 followers
- Topic Expert — be the top-ranked writer in a topic for 30 days
- Blog Owner — verify your first blog
- Guest Post Mentor — approve 10+ guest posts on your blogs
Badges never expire — once earned, they stay on your profile forever.
