After drawing a historic Test series on their tour of England, Team India has etched a memorable chapter in cricket history. Energised by the achievement, Indian cricket fans continue to rally behind the national team. In the upcoming cricket matches, Team India not only competes in some prestigious tournaments, but they also play against some top cricket teams across the cricket world. With the red-ball season wrapped up, the focus now shifts to white-ball cricket — specifically, the highly anticipated Asia Cup 2025, kicking off on September 9.

The Asia Cup 2025, played in the T20I format, will feature 8 teams split into two groups. Group A includes defending champions India, Pakistan, UAE, and Oman, while Group B consists of Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, and Hong Kong.

India begins their campaign against the UAE on September 10, followed by the much-anticipated clash with Pakistan on September 14. Their final group match will be against Oman on September 19. After 12 group matches, the top two teams from each group will progress to the Super 4s, where six more matches will determine the finalists. The Asia Cup 2025 Final will be played on September 28 between the top two Super 4 teams.

Once the Asia Cup concludes, Team India’s Test squad will shift back into red-ball mode to host the West Indies for a two-match Test series. The first Test will take place at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad from October 2–6, followed by the second Test at Eden Gardens, Kolkata, from October 10–14.

Next, the Indian ODI squad heads to Australia for a three-match ODI series, scheduled from October 19–25. This series is especially significant, as it will mark the return of Indian stalwarts Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma to the ODI format. Following the ODIs, a five-match T20I series between India and Australia will be played from October 29 to November 8.

To wrap up the year, India will host South Africa for a full-fledged home series comprising two Tests, three ODIs, and five T20Is, running from November 14 to December 19.
