Tilak Varma: The No. 1 T20 Batsman for India currently

Tilak Varma was handed the Indian cap back in 2023 as he played the Asia Cup ODI game against Bangladesh. The same year marked his debut in the shortest format of the game as India toured the West Indies and the USA. However, it was not until recently that Tilak Varma grabbed eyeballs on the international scene. After India’s historic T20 World Cup victory this year, the management triggered a transition in the side. Among the changes was Tilak Varma, who joined the team for the South Africa tour after a successful recovery from an injury.

The four-match T20I series against South Africa proved to be the breakthrough outing for the young Mumbai batter.
